One major byproduct of the constantly improving state of technology is that global travel is becoming easier and more feasible than it has been in the past. One effect of this is that people are beginning to travel abroad for medical procedures–a phenomenon being called “medical tourism.” With the decreasing costs of vacationing itself contributing to the feasibility of travel as well, a trip for a medical procedure can actually be cheaper than the same procedure at home–and you get to see a new country!
