Fluid Bed Dryer-Cooler Removes Moisture From Inlet Air For Cooling Hygroscopic Products In Humid Conditions.
Washington, NJ: Vibrating fluid bed dryers and coolers from process equipment manufacturer The Witte Co., Washington, New Jersey, are available with an air conditioning system (optional) that removes moisture from the inlet air to achieve required processing conditions in facilities with humid ambient air and/or in facilities affected by seasonal changes to the humidity of the ambient air. Combining a chilled water coil and heating coil, the Witte air supply system cools the inlet air to the cooling zone and condenses the moisture then heats the dehumidified air to the desired temperature.

Developed for drying and cooling hygroscopic products, which absorb moisture from the air and tend to cake, clump and become sticky in humid conditions, the Witte conditioning system is ideal for processing sugar, salt, fertilizer, paper, cocoa, agglomerated coffee, powdered milk and long-chain polymers such as nylon, polycarbonate, acrylic, PET and ABS, among other products. The conditioning system is available custom-engineered and for retrofit on Witte drying and cooling systems in the field.
