Reston, Va.; Tampa, Fla.; and Milan, Italy — Industry support is growing for Pharma EXPO, the new pharmaceutical industry event from PMMI, The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies, and the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE). PMMI, the owner and producer of the PACK EXPO family of trade shows, announces a new partnership with Ipack-Ima Spa, which produces Pharmintech.

“Ipack-Ima’s reputation for excellence strengthens the power of its support for Pharma EXPO. It also reminds us — in a very concrete way — just how global the pharmaceutical industry is,” says Charles D. Yuska, president & CEO, PMMI.
“It’s exciting to be in a new event”

Pharma EXPO will be co-located with PACK EXPO International 2014 (Nov. 2–5; McCormick Place, Chicago), and to Ipack-Ima Spa and Pharmintech Srl CEO Guido Corbella, that’s another indicator for success.

“It’s exciting to be in a new event,” says Corbella, “and when it’s associated with such successful entities as PACK EXPO International and ISPE, you know it’s built on a solid foundation. We’re confident Pharma EXPO 2014 will be the first of many successful Pharma EXPO shows to come.”

The PACK EXPO agreement allows for promotional support and exhibiting at select events for each organization.
“We serve an international marketplace,” says Nancy S. Berg, president & CEO, ISPE. “And the involvement with Pharmintech will allow the shows to communicate the power of Pharma EXPO around the world. Exhibitors and attendees will enjoy the benefits of an event as global as its industry.”

Solid support within the pharma community

PACK EXPO has a history of a strong presence in pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturing: On average, more than 18 percent of PACK EXPO attendees and one-third of exhibitors identify themselves with this manufacturing sector.

PMMI and ISPE anticipate that PACK EXPO International 2014 and Pharma EXPO 2014, combined, will comprise 2,000 exhibiting companies; over 1.1 million net square feet of exhibit space; and 50,000 visitors. Pharma EXPO, with its world-class conference program by ISPE, is expected to draw 10,000 attendees from pharmaceutical, medical device and nutraceutical manufacturers.

“Initial space selection is complete and we’re tracking far beyond expectations. In fact, several exhibitors are new to the PACK EXPO shows. I think that’s a strong indication of support throughout the industry,” Yuska says.

The following companies are among those exhibiting at Pharma EXPO:
